Job summary

The Missing Link is seeking an Associate Legal Counsel to support a fast-growing technology business in Australia. You will work closely with the General Counsel on commercial contracts, governance, compliance and strategic legal projects, helping the team navigate regulatory obligations and data privacy while balancing risk with business needs.

Qualifications

• Admission to practise law in Australia.
• Minimum 2+ years post-qualification experience in commercial, corporate or technology-focused legal practice.
• Experience reviewing, drafting and negotiating commercial contracts.
• Strong ability to balance legal risk with commercial outcomes.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex legal issues clearly.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• High integrity, sound judgement and a collaborative working style.

Responsibilities

• Review, draft and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements including MSAs, SOWs, supplier agreements and NDAs.
• Partner with Sales, Procurement, Delivery and Operations teams to provide practical legal advice.
• Support corporate governance, compliance initiatives, policies and business-wide legal matters.
• Assist with legal risk management, dispute resolution and engagement with external advisers.
• Help maintain legal templates, playbooks, processes and knowledge resources.
• Provide guidance on privacy, data protection, technology procurement and regulatory obligations.
• Work closely with the General Counsel on strategic business initiatives.

What you’ll be doing
