Job summary

KordaMentha in Melbourne is seeking an Associate for its Forensic Data Analytics team. You will analyse large financial, payroll and transactional data to uncover insights that support investigations and risk reviews.

You will develop analytical models, present findings to clients and senior stakeholders, mentor junior colleagues, and contribute to proposals and process improvements in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years' experience in data analytics, forensic analytics, financial modelling, consulting or a related field.
  • Strong SQL and Tableau capability.
  • Demonstrated experience working with large datasets and performing detailed analysis to uncover insights and support decision‑making.
  • A degree in Data Analytics, Actuarial Studies, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering or a related quantitative discipline.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • A collaborative mindset and genuine interest in supporting the development of others.
  • Experience with Alteryx, Power BI, Python or R will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

  • Transform complex data into compelling insights through reports, dashboards, visualisations and presentations.
  • Work directly with clients, legal advisers and senior stakeholders to understand challenges and communicate findings.
  • Manage key engagement deliverables, balancing multiple priorities while delivering quality outcomes.
  • Support and mentor junior team members while contributing to a collaborative and high‑performing team culture.
  • Help drive innovation by identifying opportunities to improve processes, methodologies and analytical capabilities.
  • Contribute to proposals, pitches and business development initiatives that support the continued growth of the practice.
