Job summary

Ministry of Health in NSW seeks an Associate Director Workplace Relations to provide high level advice on workplace relations matters for NSW Health and related agencies to support workplace relations objectives across the system.

About this role/what you'll be doing

The Associate Director Workplace Relations provides high level advice on workplace relations matters for the Ministry of Health, public health organisations and related government agencies to support the achievement of NSW Health’s workplace relations objectives.

This is a high impact role that will see you:

• Deliver expert workplace relations advice and solutions on complex industrial matters across NSW Health.
• Lead workplace relations projects and evaluate policy initiatives to support strategic workforce outcomes.
• Partner with senior leaders to resolve industrial issues and promote consistent workplace relations practices.
• Represent NSW Health in various forums to achieve favourable outcomes.

About you

We are seeking motivated and committed individuals who can support the work of NSW Health with:

• Significant experience in the analysis and management of major industrial relations situations and projects in a multi-disciplinary environment
• Significant knowledge and understanding of State and Federal industrial systems, with significant experience in the interpretation and application of industrial processes and policies.
• Significant skill and experience in the conduct of complex and sensitive negotiations including analysing potential financial and industrial implications and preparing and advocating cases before Industrial Commissions and relevant courts/tribunals.
• Demonstrated skills and experience in managing all aspects of policy research, development, review and evaluation.
