Job summary

Fitch Ratings is seeking an Associate Director/Director for the APAC Corporates, Infrastructure and Project Finance (CIPF) Group in Sydney. You will lead credit analysis on infrastructure and project finance transactions, primarily in Australia, and contribute to research reports.

You will collaborate with teams globally, manage rating actions, and engage with issuers, banks and rating committees. The role offers hybrid work with office presence in Sydney and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant experience in capital markets or credit analysis.
• Solid analytical experience within infrastructure sector at a financial services firm, ideally in Australia.
• Excellent Excel and financial modelling skills to support analysis and strong understanding of capital structures.

Responsibilities

• Lead analytical responsibility for rating transactions in Australia across Infrastructure & Project Finance.
• Prepare rating action commentaries for publication and present credits to internal rating committees.
• Monitor market developments affecting rated transactions and sector trends; maintain contact with issuers and lenders.
• Contribute to writing and publishing research reports and participate in sector-wide discussions.
