The opportunity

We have an opportunity to join our highly regarded Brisbane team, working primarily with Lindsay Reed and John Caravousanos. Considered one of the largest taxation teams in the Brisbane market, you’ll have the opportunity to gain exposure to multi-jurisdictional matters across a diverse range of taxation issues, with direct client access and the autonomy to run matters independently.

  • Providing strategic tax advice to clients across a range of matters (income tax, GST, land tax, payroll tax, stamp duty)
  • Drafting and advising on complex trust structures, trust deeds, and wills & estates matters
  • Supervising and mentoring junior lawyers and contributing to team capability and growth
To succeed in this role, ideally, you'll have
  • 3-5 years PAE
  • income tax and/or state tax experience (or a desire to grow in these areas)
  • strategic and critical thinking capability
  • a vested interest in tax and structuring, underpinned by a strong commercial mindset
  • broader legal experience beyond tax, such as M&A, property, commercial transactions, or tax litigation and a desire to apply that knowledge in a specialised context
