Qualifications

• 3–5 years’ PAE in commercial litigation, dispute resolution or insolvency litigation.
• Experience managing complex matters with a high degree of autonomy.
• Strong drafting, advocacy and negotiation skills.
• Experience appearing in court and handling interlocutory stages, hearings and trials.
• Commercial acumen with client-facing advisory capability.
• Collaborative mindset with interest in mentoring juniors.

With an increasing volume of high-value and complex litigation matters, the team is seeking an experienced lawyer to join its growing practice. Working closely with highly respected Partners, you will play a key role in managing complex litigation matters, developing strong client relationships and mentoring junior lawyers within a supportive, high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing and running complex commercial litigation matters across all stages of the dispute resolution process, from strategy and pleadings through to trial and enforcement.
• Acting in high-value insolvency-related disputes, including recovery proceedings, voidable transaction claims, insolvent trading claims and examinations.
• Representing insolvency practitioners, creditors, directors and corporate clients in contentious insolvency and commercial matters.
• Preparing pleadings, affidavits, evidence and submissions, while developing litigation strategies to achieve commercial outcomes for clients.
• Appearing in and managing matters before superior courts and tribunals, including briefing and liaising with counsel and expert witnesses.
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships while supervising and mentoring junior lawyers within the team.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• 3-5 years' PAE in commercial litigation, dispute resolution and/or insolvency litigation gained within a reputable private practice environment.
• Demonstrated experience managing complex litigation matters and running files with a high degree of autonomy.
• Strong technical, drafting, advocacy and negotiation skills.
• Experience appearing in court and managing matters through interlocutory stages, hearings, mediations and trial preparation.
• Strong commercial acumen and the ability to provide strategic, practical and client-focused advice.
• A collaborative approach and a genuine interest in mentoring and developing junior lawyers.
