Job summary

Hill Street Grocer – Dodges Ferry is seeking a dedicated full-time Assistant Team Leader to help keep our coastal store well-presented, stocked, and customer-focused. You will lead a small team, assist customers, and ensure smooth daily operations with a friendly, proactive approach.

You will gain leadership experience, exposure to ordering, merchandising, and food-safety practices, and opportunities for progression within a supportive Tasmanian business that values pride, passion and community.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail, supermarkets, or stock organisation.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Comfort with fast-paced customer service and team coordination.
• Knowledge of food safety and workplace health and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain well-presented, fully stocked store displays.
• Provide warm, welcoming and helpful customer service.
• Receive, unpack and organise deliveries.
• Lead and support the team to uphold daily store operations and standards.
• Learn and excel in leadership, ordering, wastage, gaps, and merchandising.
