Job summary

Salomon, a leading outdoor sports brand, seeks an Assistant Store Manager to be the right-hand to the Store Manager in Sydney. You will lead by example, inspire the team, and ensure a premium in-store experience while managing day-to-day operations and store performance.

You will drive sales, oversee stock and visual merchandising, recruit and develop staff, and support a successful store launch with a hands-on, proactive approach.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Assistant Store Manager or similar leadership role in retail.
• Strong track record of hitting sales targets and driving store performance.
• Stellar communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with customers and team.

Responsibilities

• Inspire and lead the team to achieve sales targets and deliver outstanding customer service.
• Oversee floor operations, inventory, merchandising, and store presentation to ensure a top-notch store image.
• Develop and implement strategies to boost foot traffic, sales, and customer loyalty.
• Recruit, train, and develop staff in partnership with the Store Manager.
• Support seamless store launch and day-to-day operational projects.
• Monitor budgets, analyze performance data, and prepare regular reports.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and health & safety standards.

About The Opportunity:

As an Assistant Store Manager, you'll be the right-hand person to our Store Manager, aiding to create an amazing in-store experience for our customers. You'll lead by example, inspire your team, and ensure smooth day-to-day operations while keeping the spirit of Salomon alive!

What You'll Do:

• Lead and Inspire: Motivate the team to smash sales targets and deliver amazing customer service.
• Own the Floor: Oversee everything from inventory to visual merchandising, making sure our store looks top-notch and runs smoothly.
• Drive Success: Develop and implement strategies to boost foot traffic, sales, and customer loyalty.
• Dream Team: Recruit, train, and develop your staff alongside your Store Manager, fostering a positive and high-energy environment.
• Run the Show: Manage and help support the operations of running a new store, including various projects to ensure a seamless launch.
• Analyse and Optimize: Keep an eye on the numbers, manage the budget, and prepare regular performance reports.
• Stay True to the Brand: Ensure compliance with company policies and health & safety standards, while embodying the Salomon spirit in everything you do.

About You:

• Proven experience as an Assistant Store Manager or similar leadership role in retail.
• A strong track record of hitting sales targets and driving store performance.

• A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
