Job summary

GrainCorp in Cryon invites an experienced Assistant Site Manager to lead a busy grain handling team across the reception, storage and outload of grain by road and rail. You will report to the Site Manager and help deliver safe, efficient operations.

Responsibilities include coordinating day-to-day workflow, attracting and developing permanent and seasonal staff, building strong relationships with growers, customers and internal stakeholders, and assisting budgeting to meet KPIs.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising teams (or potential to)
• Strong communication, time management and IT literacy
• Capability to work at heights and in confined spaces

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day workflow of the team and support development of permanent and casual staff
• Develop and maintain relationships with growers, customers, local community groups and internal stakeholders
• Assist the Site Manager to implement and review site budget, participate in financial planning, and achieve site KPIs
• Support resource planning for peak and off-peak grain receival/outload
• Plan and execute maintenance, grain protection, safety and quality activities and reporting
• Supervise a large seasonal workforce during harvest across multiple sites
