Job summary

Hunter Street Hospitality is building the opening team for Shokunin, our newest Japanese dining destination at Hamer Hall, Melbourne. We’re seeking experienced hospitality professionals who share a passion for craft, service excellence and teamwork.

The role focuses on Assistant Restaurant Managers who thrive in fast-paced environments and want to help make Shokunin one of Melbourne’s must-dine destinations. Sommeliers with wine knowledge and sake knowledge are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in quality restaurants, bars or premium hospitality environments will be highly regarded.
• Sommelier team: strong wine knowledge; sake knowledge or qualifications highly regarded.
• Opening-team mindset: thrive in fast-paced environments and take pride in craft.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing opening team for Shokunin from day one.
• Lead and motivate a high-energy hospitality team to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
• Collaborate with leadership to establish culture, standards and guest experience at Shokunin.
• Support the sommelier team and service leadership to ensure smooth operations.
