Fully maintained company vehicle provided for work‑related travel
Love property management but ready to step away from the pressure of managing a large traditional portfolio?
Property Direct is seeking an experienced Assistant Property Manager to join our specialist property management team based in East Brisbane.
This is a genuine part‑time position of approximately 28 hours per week, worked across Monday to Friday, offering an experienced property professional the opportunity to remain in the industry while enjoying greater work‑life balance and a varied, hands‑on role.
Working closely with our Senior Property Manager, you'll take ownership of inspections, maintenance coordination, property handovers and operational support across our growing portfolio of Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) properties.
You'll use all the property management experience you've already developed, but you won't be responsible for independently managing a large traditional residential portfolio.
There's no weekend work, a fully maintained company vehicle is provided for work‑related travel, and you don't need previous SDA or NDIS experience – we'll teach you the specialist aspects of the role.
This isn't your typical property management position.
Your primary focus will be property inspections, maintenance coordination, property handovers and operational support, rather than carrying a large traditional portfolio.
Your responsibilities will include:
Our specialist properties are located throughout South East Queensland and the Wide Bay region, so some travel forms part of the position.
Most travel and property inspections are planned in advance, and a fully maintained company vehicle is provided for all work‑related travel.
There may also be occasional planned regional travel and overnight stays where required.
If you enjoy getting out of the office and prefer variety over sitting behind a desk five days a week, this aspect of the role may particularly appeal to you.
We're looking for someone who understands residential property management and is ready for something a little different.
You may currently be a Property Manager, Assistant Property Manager or Property Officer looking for a role with fewer portfolio pressures and better work‑life balance.
Ideally, you'll have:
Previous experience in Specialist Disability Accommodation or the NDIS is not required.
If you have a solid property management background, we'll provide the training and support you need to understand the specialist aspects of our portfolio.
Property Direct specialises in managing Specialist Disability Accommodation – purpose-built homes for people living with disability.
Our approach to property management is therefore different from a traditional high-volume residential agency.
You'll still use your existing property management knowledge every day, but you'll also develop specialist experience and work with a diverse range of property owners, residents, support providers, contractors and industry professionals.
For an experienced property professional who enjoys the industry but no longer wants the pressure of carrying a large traditional portfolio, this is an opportunity to use your skills in a different way.
Property Direct specialises in the management of Specialist Disability Accommodation and residential investment properties throughout Queensland.
Our work combines professional property management with the opportunity to contribute to safe, high‑quality housing outcomes for people living with disability.
We pride ourselves on professionalism, integrity, strong relationships and providing an exceptional level of service to our property owners and residents.
If you're an experienced property professional looking for approximately 28 hours per week, no weekend work, greater variety and the opportunity to step away from managing a large traditional portfolio, we'd love to hear from you.
Property Direct is an equal opportunity employer.
*$1,500 sign‑on bonus is payable following successful completion of the three‑month probation period and is subject to the terms and conditions of employment.
