A government agency for environment and sustainability in New South Wales is seeking an Assistant Project Officer to support initiatives aimed at increasing electric vehicle uptake. You will manage grants, assist in project administration, and contribute to delivering key sustainability outcomes within a significant budget. Ideal candidates will have experience in project support and a passion for renewable energy. About the opportunity

The team delivers $330 million in initiatives focusing on fleets, EV charging and consumer information, to accelerate the uptake of EVs in NSW.
If you have a passion for exciting and complex programs, along with strong capabilities and experience in project support and stakeholder engagement, then this role is for you.
As required, your enthusiasm and attention to detail will also be utilised in assisting the delivery of other initiatives designed to support the electrification of fleets, including capacity-buildinginitiatives.This role assists with managing projects within a $105 million budget envelope through to 30 June 2027.
By joining our team, you will bring your experience at an assistant project officer level in fleet management, sustainability, environmental engineering, environmental management, environmental consulting, and / or renewable energy delivering strategic energy, transport and emissions reduction projects.
DCCEEW conserves and protects the state’s natural environment. It manages the NSW national park estate, including its rich and diverse biodiversity and Aboriginal cultural heritage for future generations.
DCCEEW also ensures sustainable management of water resources across the state, to support the environment, communities and industry.
