Job summary

Nangamay Public School in the Glenmore Park area is seeking an appropriately qualified teacher to lead and support inclusive teaching and learning across kindergarten to Year 6. Job description

Nangamay Public School is a new school that opened in January 2023 and has a current enrolment of 460 students. The school has 18 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students and 31% EAL/D with classes in kindergarten through to Year 6 and three Multi Categorical Inclusive Educational classes.

Nangamay Public School was built to meet the need of existing and future enrolment growth in the emerging suburbs across the Glenmore Park area. Housed in brand-new, state-of-the-art facilities, Nangamay Public School has a strong focus on high-quality future-focused learning with a commitment to excellence and achievement in all areas of education which shapes learning experiences that are authentic, challenging, and participatory.

The school prides itself on research based pedagogical practices, which are utilised in the delivery of programs driven by direct instruction. We balance data driven, explicit instruction and feedback with innovative collegial practices. Highly qualified teachers engage in professional learning targeted to school priorities. • Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice
• Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs
• Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams
• Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents
• Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning
• Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policy

• Demonstrated ability to lead and build the capacity of individuals and teams to implementHigh Potential and Gifted Education
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with demonstrated capacity to work collaboratively as a member of a high performing executive team, balance the complex responsibilities of teaching and school leadership and build authentic, respectful and productive relationships with staff, students, families of a newly built school.
• Demonstrated expertise in leading high-quality, differentiated literacy and numeracy programs, using data to identify needs, monitor progress, inform teaching practice and drive improved outcomes for all learners.
