Job summary

The Austral Hotel, part of the Endeavour Group network, is seeking an Assistant Manager to run the floor across a busy regional pub. You’ll lead a multi-department team, maintain gold-standard venue presentation and deliver warm hospitality on every shift.

This hands-on role requires physical tasks, supervising staff, and a genuine connection with locals. RSA/RSG, RMLV and Approved Managers Licence are required per state rules.

Qualifications

• Hands-on role requiring physical tasks and lifting; safety-first approach.
• Experience supervising in bar, bistro or gaming room is desirable.
• Willingness to learn and lead a team in a fast-paced pub environment.

Responsibilities

• Get to know the locals so well they feel like part of the crew.
• Support the Publican to keep the pub running smoothly, safely and with a great vibe.
• Learn the ropes of being a Publican while leading a team of hospitality staff.
• Handle hiccups before they turn into headaches.
• Bring energy, service and smiles on every shift.
