Job summary

Discovery Parks – Halls Gap is seeking an experienced Park Manager to lead all aspects of a premier holiday park nestled in the Grampians National Park. The role combines commercial accountability with exceptional guest experiences, team development and asset presentation.

You will oversee day-to-day operations, budgeting and staff leadership, while ensuring compliance and high standards across accommodation, grounds and facilities.

Qualifications

  • Experience managing hospitality or caravan park operations.
  • Proven leadership in a multi-site or complex environment.
  • Strong financial acumen and budgeting skills.
  • Excellent guest service and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • Ability to coach and develop teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day operation of the park, including after-hours calls.
  • Drive financial performance through budgeting, forecasting, reporting and cost controls.
  • Recruit, develop and mentor a high-performing team.
  • Maintain presentation standards across accommodation, grounds and facilities.
  • Ensure health, safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Manage guest feedback and service recovery to deliver outstanding experiences.
  • Build relationships with local tourism operators and community partners.

About the Role

This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced hospitality or tourism leader to take ownership of a successful and well-established holiday park. As Park Manager, you will lead all aspects of the operation, balancing commercial performance, guest satisfaction, team development and asset presentation.

This is a live-in management position, with a furnished three-bedroom, one-bathroom residence provided onsite.

Your Responsibilities will Include:
  • Lead the day-to-day operation of the park, including after-hours call outs when required
  • Drive financial performance through effective budgeting, forecasting, reporting and cost control
  • Recruit, develop and mentor a high-performing team
  • Maintain exceptional presentation standards across all accommodation, grounds and facilities
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety and regulatory requirements
  • Manage guest feedback, reviews and service recovery to consistently deliver outstanding experiences
  • Build and maintain relationships with local tourism operators, businesses and community stakeholders
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiencies and grow business performance
  • Collaborate with the wider G'day Group network to share best practice and support business initiatives
  • Provide hands-on operational support where required to ensure the park runs smoothly
About You

You are a hands-on leader who thrives in a customer-focused environment and enjoys building strong teams, driving results and creating memorable guest experiences. You'll bring a balance of commercial acumen, operational expertise and people leadership.

Skills and Experience Include:
  • Previous experience in hospitality, accommodation, tourism or caravan park management
  • Strong leadership experience in a multi-faceted operational environment
  • Current driver's licence
  • Experience using RMS, Newbook or similar property management systems
  • Well-developed financial and commercial management skills
  • Proven ability to coach, motivate and develop teams
  • Strong operational and asset management capability
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to build positive relationships with guests, staff and external partners
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Flexibility to work weekends, public holidays and after-hours when required
