SA Health’s Women’s and Children’s Health Network (WCHN) is hiring Assistant in Nursing for the WCHN Nursing & Midwifery Casual Pool in Adelaide. You’ll support nurses in a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, family-centred care in a busy hospital environment.

Casual, fixed-term contracts available; must be enrolled in an undergraduate nursing program (2nd year+). Competitive casual rate with superannuation, salary packaging options and employer benefits.

Qualifications

Enrolled in an undergraduate nursing program (2nd year or above).
Experience in providing nursing/midwifery care in healthcare setting within education/skill boundaries.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Able to work in a multidisciplinary team environment.
Understanding the role of the Assistant in Midwifery within healthcare.

Responsibilities

Assist nurses in routine tasks with patients/clients related to activities of daily living.
Set up for nursing procedures, clean equipment, and manage local stock levels.
Maintain a physically and culturally safe environment for patients and staff.
Follow established guidelines, protocols, procedures, standards and systems.
Provide person-centred care.
