Job summary

Narara Valley Medical is seeking an Assistant in Nursing for a General Practice. This casual/temporary role supports doctors with patient care, nursing tasks, and clinical documentation in a busy general practice setting.

You will collect patient information, perform basic procedures under supervision, and help maintain a clean, safe environment for patients. Training in ECG and spirometry will be provided as needed.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Health Services Assistance or equivalent.
• Experience assisting in nursing tasks under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing support as directed by the Doctor.
• Assist Doctors with patient care and procedures.
• Record patient observations and update progress notes.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment in treatment areas.
• Sterilise instruments and stock doctors rooms.

Key functions

• - Provide support in the delivery of nursing care as directed by the Doctor
• - Assist Doctors with patient care
• - Contribute to collecting accurate health care information and maintaining accurate health care documentation as required
• - Communicate effectively with patients and other health care team members in accordance with appropriate protocol
• - ECG's (training provided)
