Job summary

RecruitShop is assisting an Inverell-based financial advisory business to launch your career as a Financial Adviser through hands-on experience, mentoring and ongoing professional development. No prior financial planning experience is required; you will support experienced advisers across all aspects of financial advice and develop into a qualified Financial Adviser.

Qualifications

• The candidate should have a genuine interest in financial advice and helping clients achieve their goals.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic digital literacy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with high attention to detail and organisational ability.
• Positive attitude, willingness to learn and a strong work ethic are important.
• Bachelor's degree in Business/Finance or related discipline is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist advisers with preparing financial advice and client strategies.
• Research superannuation, investment, insurance and retirement planning solutions.
• Prepare client meeting documentation and follow-up correspondence.
• Attend client meetings and take meeting notes; liaise with clients and providers.
• Support the implementation of financial advice recommendations.
• Learn compliance and regulatory requirements.

About The Opportunity

The primary purpose of this position is to support experienced advisers across all aspects of financial advice while you develop into a qualified Financial Adviser through a structured career pathway.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting advisers with preparing financial advice and client strategies
• Researching superannuation, investment, insurance and retirement planning solutions
• Preparing client meeting documentation and follow-up correspondence
• Attending client meetings and taking meeting notesLiaising with clients, product providers and external stakeholders
• Supporting the implementation of financial advice recommendations
• Learning compliance and regulatory requirements

About You

The successful candidate will have:

• A genuine interest in financial advice and helping clients achieve their goals
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with excellent attention to detail and organisational ability
• A positive attitude, willingness to learn and a strong work ethic
• A Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related discipline (desirable, not essential)
