Liverpool City Council is seeking an Accountant – Assets and Tax Compliance to support financial systems, asset register maintenance, and tax compliance. You will reconcile General Ledger accounts and assist with year-end notes and BAS returns.

The role involves responsible handling of asset registers, payroll-related reconciliations, and ensuring timely interface with subsidiary systems, with a flexible hybrid work setup and a salary in the $88,827 to $97,332 range plus super.

Formación

• Degree in Business or Finance with accounting focus.
• Experience in Financial Accounting and Reporting.
• Experience in Asset Register (PP&E) and infrastructure assets.
• Experience in GL reconciliation including bank reconciliation and wages clearing.
• Experience in completing BAS and Fringe Benefits Tax returns.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain asset register (acquisition, disposal, gains/losses).
• Maintain Cash Book and perform bank reconciliations.
• Prepare notes for year-end financial statements.
• Prepare BAS returns and monthly BAS obligations.
• Prepare monthly Plan First and Long Service Levy returns.
