Overview

The Service Assurance Refresh Team is seeking a highly motivated multitasker to undertake the role of Refresh Manager. This position provides direct leadership and operational management of a team of up to 12 staff and is critical to the successful delivery of the End User Hardware Rollout and Refresh Programs, which support the ACT Government’s strategic objective.

The role provides strategic and operational leadership across asset lifecycle management, vendor and contract management, and the delivery of customer‑facing ICT services. It plays a key role in ensuring vendors meet contractual obligations, supporting compliance with the Logistics Services, and maintaining Service Level Agreements.

Responsibilities
  • Lead, manage, and coach a team of up to 12 staff to achieve program objectives.
  • Oversee asset lifecycle management, vendor and contract management, and delivery of customer‑facing ICT services.
  • Ensure vendors meet contractual obligations and comply with Logistics Services and Service Level Agreements.
  • Deliver agreed business outcomes by taking initiative, organising resources, setting a clear direction, and providing guidance and mentoring.
  • Build strong relationships with users, technical staff, management, and customers to resolve issues and support project deployments.

  • Leadership expertise and commitment to high‑quality customer service principles and practices.
  • Strong customer‑focus and the ability to establish rapport with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Advanced analytical skills with the ability to make rational judgments and decisions.
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances, manage multiple priorities, and demonstrate resilience in a dynamic environment.
  • Organisational skills, including autonomous management and prioritisation of competing tasks.
  • Experience in asset management lifecycle processes and managing vendor relationships.
  • Willingness to share knowledge with team members and the broader Digital Directorate.
Compliance Requirements
  • ACT Government Baseline clearance required.
  • Driver’s licence C class is essential.
Notes

This is a temporary position available for a period of three months from 8 December 2025 until 1 March 2026, with the possibility of an extension up to six months. A Merit Pool will be established and used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months. Selection may be based on application and referee reports only.
