Job summary

The ACT Government Education Directorate is seeking a senior policy officer to strengthen governance in the Education sector. You will manage and develop the Directorate's Policy Framework materials, maintain central registers, and advise on policy development.

This temporary six-month position (with possible extension up to 12 months) offers a hybrid work arrangement, working from home and Education Offices designed for activity-based working. A merit pool may fill vacancies over the next year.

We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and efficient professional to join our team as a senior policy officer.

We are seeking a collaborative, solutions-focused, organised, and goal-oriented policy officer to play an essential role in role in enhancing good governance in the Education sector.

In this role, you will play a pivotal role in policy administration by managing and developing the Directorate's Policy Framework material, maintaining central registers, providing advice on policy development and participating in policy reviews and other core governance activities.

Eligibility/Other Requirements

Notes

This is a temporary position available for six months, with possibility of extension up to 12 months and/or permanency.

A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months.

This position operates under a flexible, hybrid work arrangement that includes working from home and Education Offices. Education Offices are designed for activity-based working and officers do not have designated workstations/desks.
