Job summary

Department of Health Disability & Ageing in Darwin seeks an Executive Level 1 – Assistant Director to lead the Northern Territory Sector Support team and drive program assurance. You will coordinate a high-performing team, engage with local stakeholders, and guide delivery of outcomes across the NT aged care sector.

You will report on risks and emerging issues, support providers during emergencies, explore market growth opportunities, represent the department in engagements with providers,

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate a high performing team to support the aged care sector in the NT.
• Work in partnership with local stakeholders to support solution brokerage and delivery of program outcomes.
• Identify and report on emerging issues and risks, develop and deliver risk management and mitigation activities.
• Support aged care providers to provide service continuity though emergency events.
• Identify and develop opportunities for market growth in the NT aged care sector.
• Represent the department at engagements including with service providers, consumers, NT government and other commonwealth agencies.
• Gather intelligence and report on departmental programs outcomes and the local conditions which impact service delivery.
