Jenny’s Early Learning Centre in Ballarat Central is seeking a warm, collaborative and committed Assistant Director to join our dedicated team and support our mission of giving children the very best start in life.

Your Role

As Assistant Director, you will work alongside our Centre Director to lead, inspire and support our educators, ensure high quality educational practice, and help create an inclusive, responsive and joyful learning environment.

You’ll play a vital role in fostering meaningful connections with families and contributing to the ongoing development of our centre culture.

In this role you will
  • Support the Centre Director in daily leadership and centre operations
  • Lead, mentor and collaborate with our educator team to deliver high quality, play-based programs
  • Build strong partnerships with families by communicating openly and authentically
  • Contribute to the implementation of our centre’s philosophy and values
  • Support compliance with the National Quality Framework and centre policies
  • Step into the Director role when required
About You
  • Has a Diploma or Bachelor in Early Childhood Education (or equivalent)
  • Holds current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis & Asthma certificates
  • Have a current Working with Children Check
  • Possesses strong leadership and communication skills
  • Believes in inclusive, child-centred and play-based learning
  • Is passionate about building respectful relationships with children, families and educators
