Job summary

The Department of Parliamentary Services in Canberra, ACT, is seeking an Assistant Director Accommodation (PEL1) to lead accommodation planning, relocations and furniture management for the Parliament House collection.

This full-time, on-site role requires coordinating procurement activities and overseeing contracts, while engaging with multiple DPS and parliamentary stakeholders to deliver essential services in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience developing governance frameworks and policy documents.
• Experience in furniture and/or asset management with key timeframes.
• Ability to support senior management with strategic insights and recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small team to support accommodation planning, relocations, furniture and collections management.
• Oversee end-to-end procurement for the Parliament House special furniture collection.
• Support the Director Planning with priorities and projects, providing strategic advice.
• Build and maintain collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders to foster a positive workplace culture.
