Job summary

Belgravia Leisure seeks an Assistant Centre Manager to lead the Gunyama Park Aquatic and Recreation Centre in Zetland. You will supervise a cross-functional team, drive customer experience, sales, and program participation, and ensure health and safety compliance across all centre operations.

• Do you have a successful track record in managing leisure facilities, marketing, sales, projects and management?

As a key member of our Centre’s Leadership Team, the Assistant Centre Manager assists with the people and process revenue, and all other operational elements of a recreation and/or aquatic centre covered by the ‘City of Sydney Contract’.

Gunyama Park opened late 2020 and is Australia’s largest single investment in aquatic infrastructure since the Sydney Olympic Games. The facility includes indoor and outdoor pools, a health and fitness centre and more!

The Role

The roles focus on helping to deliver centre-wide results, while also being responsible for leading and managing the centre in the absence of the Centre Manager. This requires the position holder to lead by example and hold a range of skills and capabilities across all centre functions including customer experience, 360 products, learn to swim programs, health and safety compliance, and pool operations.

Prior experienceinindustry sectors such asHealth, Fitness, Aquatics, Hospitality, Tourism, Retail orBusiness. Proventeam leaderorpeople management and have an overall ability to lead, motivating a team anddeveloping others.

If you have excellent customer service skills, sales, and the ability to achieve targets and key performance indicators.

Our leader demonstrate flexibility, adaptability, resilience, and ability to accept feedback. You will need to also have an understanding of WHS and risk including the Guidelines for Safe Pool Operations and NSW Health regulations.

Essential qualifications:

• Royal Life Saving Pool Lifeguard Certificate
• Current First Aid Certificate
