RPS, a Tetra Tech company, is seeking an Assistant Business Analyst to join the Finance Business Partnering team in Brisbane. You will support management reporting, financial analysis and modelling to help operational teams understand and manage their financial performance, while assisting day-to-day activities and process improvements.

You will contribute to month-end processes, budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis, with scope for process improvements and professional development.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of progressive financial experience.
• Degree in commerce (or similar) and working towards CA or CPA is desirable.

Responsabilités

• Support regular finance processes, including month end procedures and general ledger maintenance.
• Perform variance analysis to review business performance and key trends.
• Assist in preparation of annual budget and monthly forecast process.
• Support tender pricing and project profitability analysis.
• Assist in scenario modelling to aid management decisions.

About The Role We are currently seeking an Assistant Business Analyst to join our team in Brisbane. Working as part of the Finance Business Partnering (FBP) team, you will assist with management reporting, financial analysis and modelling to support the operational teams in understanding and managing their financial performance. You will also support the FBP team with day-to-day activities and contribute to ongoing process improvements.

Your Impact

• Support regular finance processes, including month end procedures, general ledger maintenance, non-financial data integrity and report preparation.
• Timely completion of all assigned monthly reporting requirements.
• Perform variance analysis to review business performance and key trends against strategic priorities.
• Support the Finance Business Partnering Team in identifying opportunities, risks & solutions for the business.
• Support the annual budget and monthly forecast process. Assist in preparation of commercial analysis for tender pricing & project profitability analysis.
• Assist in the preparation of various scenario modelling to assist management in business decision making.
• Assist in both regular and ad-hoc reporting to drive decision making and continuous improvement across the business.
• Help maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with internal controls. Support audit and compliance processes with accurate documentation and analysis.

About You: You will have minimum 2 years of progressive financial experience and a degree in commerce (or similar) and working towards CA or CPA qualification, desirable.
