Job summary

Glen Eira City Council is seeking an Asset Intelligence Analyst to maintain asset information and support AMIS, ensuring data accuracy from projects and operations. You will deliver data-driven insights and contribute to strategic asset management.

Collaborating across asset, GIS, finance and other teams, you will develop dashboards, support renewal forecasting and drive continuous improvement in data quality and governance.

  • Band 6: $100k-$109k per annum (depending on experience) + superannuation
About the role

This role is responsible for maintaining high-quality asset information, supporting Council's Asset Management Information Systems, and ensuring asset data is accurately captured from projects, operational activities and developer contributions. Working collaboratively across multiple business areas, you will help deliver data-driven insights, improve processes, support users and contribute to strategic asset management outcomes across the organisation.

What you’ll be doing
  • Administer, maintain and continuously improve Council's Asset Management Information Systems (AMIS), renewal modelling platforms and mobile asset management tools.
  • Oversee asset data and registers across a diverse portfolio of infrastructure and community assets, ensuring information is accurate, complete and up to date.
  • Develop and deliver asset reporting, dashboards and analytics that provide insights to support asset planning, renewal forecasting and investment decision making.
  • Support asset data governance, system integration and digital transformation initiatives across asset, GIS, finance, CRM and other corporate systems.
  • Driving continuous improvement of asset management practices, processes and data quality across the organisation.
About you

You are a detail-oriented asset information, systems or data professional who is passionate about using technology and quality data to support informed decision making. With experience working across systems, stakeholders and asset information, you thrive in a collaborative environment and enjoy driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.

You will bring:

  • Relevant qualifications in data, information systems, IT, asset management or a related field.
  • Experience supporting asset management systems, GIS and related business applications.
  • Knowledge of asset lifecycle management, asset governance and asset information principles.
  • Experience with asset capitalisation, asset onboarding and maintaining asset registers.
  • Strong data management, analysis and reporting skills, including dashboard development and data quality assurance.
  • Well-developed analytical, problem-solving and continuous improvement capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work across diverse teams.
  • Experience developing documentation, training materials and user support resources.
  • Exposure to systems such as Confirm, Power BI, SQL, GIS, ERP/Finance systems or similar platforms will be highly regarded.
