Zusammenfassung

SESLHD is offering two six-month Advanced Trainee positions in Rehabilitation Medicine (Spinal Cord Injuries) based at Randwick. The roles aim to progress trainees through the AFRM Training program toward Fellowship, with exposure to acute and sub-acute spinal injury rehabilitation and specialist outpatient clinics.

Qualifikationen

• Qualifications and experience commensurate with the Essential Requirements for the role.
• Sufficient clinical experience to undertake the clinical duties for rotations, and proficiency in basic and advanced life support.
• Advanced ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team in planning, delivery and coordination of patient care.
• Advanced communication skills, including the ability to convey information to clinical and non-clinical audiences.
• Advanced good organisational and time management skills and ability to manage competing priorities in a complex environment.
• Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement, patient safety and risk management.
• Advanced independent clinical skills and judgement, with the ability to make sound decisions and learn independently.
• Previous experience in and willingness to deliver undergraduate and postgraduate medical education and training.

Aufgaben

• Gain learning and experiences in general and specialised terms, applying evidence-based rehabilitation medicine principles.
• Perform comprehensive rehabilitation assessments including patient evaluation, decisions and documentation.
• Supervise general medical management and develop integrated care plans with interdisciplinary teams.
• Participate in consultative and outpatient services across various ambulatory settings.
• Liaise closely with consultants to demonstrate ability and expand areas of responsibility.
