Mater Hospital Springfield is inviting applications for Principal House Officers to join the brand-new Public Emergency Department on a maximum-term contract until 01/02/27. The role is 38 hours per week and salary is commensurate with experience, with superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $18,550, plus staff benefits.

Qualifications

• MBBS or equivalent required.
• Minimum three years post-registration experience.
• Current AHPRA registration.
• Demonstrated commitment to high-quality emergency care and ongoing clinical learning.
• Experience at PHO or Registrar level in acute care specialties.

Responsabilités

• Assess and manage patients presenting to the Emergency Department.
• Develop and implement clinical management plans.
• Select and coordinate appropriate investigations.
• Ongoing patient review and safe clinical handover.
• Accurate and timely documentation in the patient record.
• Prepare discharge letters and clinical summaries.
• Participate in quality improvement and clinical governance activities.
• Supervision and support of junior medical staff.
