Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) Australia is seeking an AI Developer in Sydney to design and implement GenAI solutions, with emphasis on RAG, vector search, and secure cloud deployments. You will build AI agents, enable connectivity to enterprise systems, and guide pipelines for OCR, parsing and data enrichment.

You will work across Azure AI Studio, LangChain/Kernel based prompts, and next-gen ML tooling, while collaborating with financial services clients and internal teams to drive impactful

Qualifications

• Expertise with copilot studio multiagent and hands-on development in Github Copilot.
• Experience building RAG pipelines including chunking, hybrid search and rerankers.

Responsibilities

• Develop GenAI/RAG reference architectures on Azure.
• Develop AI agents and connect to enterprise systems via Power Automate.
• Design and deliver AI solutions for IT and Business Services.
• Pipeline work for PDF/image OCR, layout parsing, semantic chunking, and metadata enrichment.
• Implement vector + lexical hybrid search and semantic rerankers.
• Design prompts, context assembly and answer validation.
• Build secure, scalable deployments on AKS/Functions with CI/CD and observability.
• Enforce policy controls, content filtering and auditability.
• Translate business goals into technical roadmaps and mentor engineers.

Job Title: AI Developer

Location: Sydney

Technical Skills:

Must-Have:

• Expertise on copilot studio multiagent
• Hands on development experience in Github copilot
• RAG building blocks: chunking strategies, hybrid search, multimodal retrieval, rerankers.
• Security & networking: Key Vault, Managed Identity, Private Link, VNET, RBAC; cost optimization.

Good-to-Have:

• Experience with LangChain/Semantic Kernel and prompt engineering frameworks.
• Knowledge of layout-aware ML (LayoutLM/DocAI), table extraction, and image embeddings (CLIP/BLIP).
• Domain experience in financial services/payments and compliance requirements.
• Hands-on with Python, PySpark, and Databricks for preprocessing and analytics.
• Familiarity with Azure AI Studio and third-party integrations (Cohere/Bedrock/Vertex).

Key responsibilities:
