Job summary

Genea Canberra is seeking a laboratory support role to help ensure efficient laboratory operations for ART procedures. Responsibilities include routine Biochemistry bloods, sperm/dish prep for ART, lab maintenance, inventory control, and sample handling.

The role involves training of new staff, and participation in weekend/public holiday rosters. A Scientific Degree is required; fertility clinic experience is ideal. We offer a hybrid work model and staff development opportunities.

Qualifications

Scientific degree required.
Experience in Fertility Clinic is ideal.

Responsibilities

Day to day support of the laboratory including: maintaining and cleaning the laboratory.
Inventory control and ordering of lab supplies.
Preparation of paperwork for procedures.
Running routine Biochemistry bloods.
Sperm and dish preparation for ART procedures.
Cryobank maintenance assistance, including discarding of gametes and embryos per protocols and transporting samples.
May assist with training of new technical officers.
Andrology diagnostic training.
Participation in rotational weekend roster and public holidays.
Other duties as directed by manager.
