Boeing Defence Australia is seeking an Armament and Life Support Engineering Team Lead to join the P-8A Poseidon program at RAAF Base Edinburgh. You will lead engineering teams in maintenance, troubleshooting, and design of weapon systems for Australian Defence Force operations.
The role requires a Bachelor of Engineering and 7–12 years in armament or life support, with strong leadership, data analysis, and regulatory knowledge.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Engineering from a nationally accredited program.
- RPEQ and/or CPEng desirable.
- 7–12 years in Armament or Life Support systems or related aircraft engineering.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and task engineering personnel in maintenance, troubleshooting, and design.
- Monitor Armament and Life Support systems to ensure safe, reliable aircraft during service life.
- Develop and improve data collection, assessment, and reporting procedures.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for explosive ordnance and emergency systems.
- Oversee engineering reports and provide technical recommendations to stakeholders.
- Take ownership of projects to meet customer, regulatory, and timeframes.
- Communicate progress with stakeholders and present technical findings.
- Share knowledge and best practices within a multi-disciplinary team.
