Job summary

Retail Data Acquisition Services in Frankston, VIC seeks an Area Manager to uphold standards across quality, service, merchandising, food, fuel and store operations. You will audit in the field, coach teams, and drive practical improvements to improve store performance.

You will travel across the VIC Frankston region, engaging Licensees and Store Managers to close gaps, implement plans and enhance customer experiences.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail, fast food, food service, petrol & convenience or auditing.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to spot operational gaps.
• Experience with standards, compliance, processes or performance.

Responsibilities

• Champion retail standards across stores, including merchandising, marketing, POS and customer service.
• Conduct quality, standards, audit and product compliance checks.
• Monitor food safety, safe working practices and WHS compliance.
• Identify gaps and work with Licensees and Store Managers to implement improvements.
• Coach and train store teams to maintain brand and operational standards.
• Complete the full audit cycle and assess operational effectiveness and compliance.
• Analyse audit findings and store data to prepare reports for stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to improve sales, marketing and store performance and support implementation.
• Build relationships with Licensees, Store Managers and stakeholders.
• Support new store openings and rollout field programs and initiatives.
• Travel across VIC Frankston region with possible overnights.

About the Role

As an Area Manager, your focus will be on ensuring stores consistently deliver the required standards across quality, customer service, merchandising, food, fuel and overall store operations.

You'll spend time in the field conducting audits and assessments, but just as importantly, you'll work alongside store teams to coach, influence and implement practical improvements.

Territory: VIC Frankston region - Carrum Downs, Hallam, Mornington, Seaford, San Remo & other surrounding suburbs.

What You'll Be Doing

• Champion retail standards across stores, including merchandising, marketing, point-of-sale and customer service
• Conduct quality, standards, audit and product compliance checks
• Monitor compliance across food safety, safe working practices and workplace health & safety
• Identify operational gaps and work with Licensees and Store Managers to develop and implement improvement plans
• Coach and train store teams to ensure consistent brand and operational standards
• Complete the full audit cycle, assessing operational effectiveness, financial reliability and compliance
• Analyse audit findings and store data, preparing clear reports and recommendations for stakeholders
• Identify opportunities to improve sales, marketing and store performance, and support their implementation
• Build strong relationships with Licensees, Store Managers and internal and external stakeholders
• Support new store openings and the rollout of field programs and initiatives
• Travel regularly across VIC Frankston region including some overnight stays (if required)

We're looking for someone who is commercially minded, confident working with people and comfortable assessing performance and identifying opportunities for improvement.

• The confidence to coach, influence and work with people at all levels
• The ability to analyse information and produce clear, accurate reports
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
• A practical, solutions-focused approach
• Good commercial awareness and a focus on achieving results
• A current Australian driver's licence and willingness to undertake frequent travel (Territory: VIC Frankston region - Carrum Downs, Hallam, Mornington, Seaford, San Remo & other surrounding suburbs)
