Job summary

A leading industrial service provider in Western Australia is seeking an experienced Area Manager to lead safety and operational excellence in complex environments. You'll ensure compliance with protocols, drive business development, and maximize equipment utilization. Ideal candidates have 4-6 years in a managerial role, preferably in oil and gas, and possess excellent leadership and communication skills. Qualifications

Experience
  • 4-6+ years intermediate supervisory/management experience within a performance focused industry
  • Significant people management experience

  • Contract service provider experience; ideally in industrial services
  • Strong coordination background and experience in managing conflicting and dynamic priorities
  • Relationship management experience
  • Evidence of organic growth of a commercial area of responsibility
  • Track record of consistently achieving budgets and proactive actions taken to address projected shortfalls
  • Overseeing project delivery
  • Evidence of outstanding HSE performance
Key activities
  • Provide strong leadership in all aspects of Health, Safety & Environment management to drive continuous improvement toward the achievement of Zero Harm for all employees & environment
  • Drive best practice principles throughout the Area operation & protect CR's tangible & intangible assets, including intellectual property and brand from any damage
  • Ensure maximum equipment utilisation whilst maintaining equipment as per the company protocols
  • With input from the Technical Service group, develop and submit quotes and proposals within agreed target project margins
  • Ensure training and development plans are in place for employees in the Area/assigned to the client site and that they are implemented.
  • Ensure client and project requirements are met
  • Prepare and submit invoices in a timely manner in line with company protocols
  • Ensure operational excellence in all aspects of the work (from sales to execution to invoice)
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Deliver a strong sales and BD focus to exceed sales targets and create new work opportunities in conjunction with Business Development Manager
  • Maximize margins and manage project cash flow

Commercial experience
  • Assist in the development of action and KPI plans and budgets across all disciplines
  • Develop sales action plans with Business Development, Sales and Technical teams
  • Maintain awareness of market developments in Area/for the client
  • Drive sales to target clients
  • Ensure all RFQ's are adequately reviewed legally and commercially prior to submission
  • Ensure quality of estimates, quotes and tenders
  • Review and assist in tendering processes in consultation with Technical Services Managers
  • Follow the DOA and develop tender request documents
  • Plan and coordinate activities in the Area/for the Client in consultation with the Technical Service
