Uniting NSW/ACT seeks a practical Maintenance Officer/Tradesperson for Farmborough Grove in Farmborough and Nareena Homes in Figtree. This part-time role (4 days per week) offers hands-on maintenance of independent living communities, from fixing taps to coordinating contractor access.
You'll use a CMMS to manage requests, perform routine and reactive maintenance, and uphold safety standards while delivering friendly, resident-focused service within the community.

We’re looking for a Maintenance Officer to join our team at Farmborough Grove, our independent retirement living community in Farmborough. You’ll also provide maintenance support at Nareena Homes in Figtree, another of our independent living communities.
This is a great opportunity to put your practical skills to work in your own community, helping maintain safe, comfortable and well‑presented homes and shared spaces for people enjoying their retirement.
You’ll be part of a friendly team and have plenty of variety in your day. One minute you might be replacing a tap washer or light globe, the next you could be responding to a maintenance request, moving furniture or arranging access for a contractor.
On a daily basis, you’ll receive work requests for your allocated facilities and services through our Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Where required, you’ll work with the Asset Coordinator to prioritise works and ensure jobs are completed in a timely manner.
