Job summary

The Copper and Zinc Roofing Company in Warriewood NSW is seeking a skilled full-time Carpenter to join a boutique roofing team delivering bespoke metalwork for high-end residential and commercial projects.

You will work with timber and copper/zinc systems, interpret drawings, measure and cut, erect frames, fixings and cladding, and ensure craftsmanship and site safety on diverse installations. Competitive salary and opportunities for training and career growth are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum Trade certificate or equivalent relevant work experience.
• Minimum one year of work experience on relevant position.
• Experience in high-end residential or architectural carpentry is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Interpreting architectural drawings and technical specifications to determine materials, installation methods, and accurate dimensions for copper and zinc roofing and cladding systems.
• Measuring, cutting, and shaping timber and metal components using hand and power tools to prepare structural framing and roof support elements.
• Erecting timber frameworks, roof trusses, sub-roofing, and battens to support metal roofing and cladding, ensuring structural alignment and trueness.
• Installing fascia panels, soffits, roof sheathing, external wall cladding, and framing for doors and windows, integrated with copper and zinc materials.
• Creating precise wood joints and fixing methods to accommodate expansion, drainage, and structural needs of copper and zinc applications.
