Job summary

GHD Design, a wholly owned subsidiary of GHD, seeks an Architect to join our Cairns team and expand our architectural presence in Northern Queensland. You will work with clients and multidisciplinary teams across the project lifecycle to deliver practical, sustainable design solutions.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Architecture, has at least three years of Australian experience, and is registered in Queensland or eligible for mutual recognition.

Qualifications

• Three+ years Australian architectural experience.
• Registration as Architect in Queensland or mutual recognition.
• Experience contributing to design and delivery of architectural projects.
• Strong design capability with technical/construction knowledge.
• Ability to manage priorities within multidisciplinary teams.
• Sustainable design mindset and curiosity.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to design and delivery of projects from concept through to completion.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, designers and specialists to develop innovative, practical solutions.
• Prepare and coordinate architectural documentation using Revit.
• Apply design thinking and construction knowledge to project outcomes.
• Participate in project planning, coordination and delivery activities.
• Engage with clients and stakeholders to build trusted relationships.
