A leading leisure organisation in Victoria is seeking an Aquatics Services Coordinator to manage swim school programs and lead the aquatics team. This is a great opportunity for qualified, friendly and skilled Aquatic Services Coordinator to join the team and lead our aquatics team!
The Aquatics Services Coordinator is responsible for the management and operation of the centre's Swim Schools programs, and for managing the financial performance of the programme to achieve the goals and targets set out in the annual business plan. Reporting to the Aquatic Services Manager, the Coordinator will lead our Swim Teachers in program delivery, training and continual skill development, ensuring the delivery of aquatic education to our members. This is a Part‑Time position (30‑36 hours).
You are passionate about swimming and water safety and inspiring others to reach their full potential in the water. You take pride in leading a high‑quality swim school programme and are committed to growing the reputation and success of the Keilor East Leisure Centre. With a positive and energetic attitude, you foster a supportive team culture and lead by example to deliver excellence in every lesson and interaction.
You have a strong commitment to child safety and wellbeing, ensuring every participant feels safe, included and supported—regardless of their age, ability or learning needs. Experience across a range of programs, from infants and toddlers through to adults, will be highly regarded.
Outstanding communication and customer service skills are essential, as you will engage with a variety of pool users, families, school groups and community partners. You take initiative in building positive relationships and ensuring every visitor enjoys a welcoming and rewarding experience at our centre.
As a leader, you demonstrate the ability to connect with people of all ages, abilities and cultural backgrounds. You are organised, approachable and passionate about maintaining a safe, inclusive and enjoyable aquatic environment for both staff and students.
Successful applicants will demonstrate the ability to communicate and interact effectively with students that have a diverse range of ages, abilities, cultures and needs.
The Keilor East Leisure Centre will include a number of facilities that will benefit many of the local community including 50m heated outdoor pool, 25m indoor lap pool, learn‑to‑swim pool, warm water programme pool, spa, steam and sauna, as well as an indoor water playground for young children.
There will also be multi‑purpose rooms for health and fitness classes, gym, wellness, café, family change rooms and creche, all with a high level of regard to disability access. This ensures that Belgravia Leisure continues its purpose and mission of “connecting community to leisure” and in turn providing every member of the community the opportunity to take advantage of this incredible facility.
As a staff member of Belgravia Leisure you will also have access to all the leisure facilities in the Moonee Valley area, including Ascot Vale Leisure Centre and Queens Park Swimming Pool.
