Job summary

Belgravia Health and Leisure Group Pty Ltd is seeking an outstanding Centre Manager for the Marong Swimming Pool to lead the team and deliver exceptional customer experience on a full-time fixed-term basis. You will manage the facility, staff, and community engagement, develop plans with the leadership team and local Council, and drive financial and program outcomes through strong leadership.

The role requires experience in leisure facilities, a focus on safety, budgeting, and people

Qualifications

• Experience managing or leading in a leisure or aquatic facility.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Knowledge of health and safety legislation; capable of planning operational, financial and people plans.
• Current CPR Certificate
• Current First Aid Certificate (Level 2)
• National Police Check
• Working with Vulnerable People
• Legal working rights in Australia
• Pool Operations Certificate (not essential but highly regarded)
• Pool Lifeguard Certificate (or ability to complete the course)

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and well-being of visitors and employees through policies, processes and procedures.
• Coach and develop leaders to deliver KPIs through engagement and development plans.
• Lead a high performance, community-minded culture through visible leadership and team engagement.
• Achieve budgeted performance targets.
• Maintain a strong relationship with local Council.
• Implement a high-value customer service proposition addressing client needs.
• Recruit energetic, diverse and passionate employees to complement the team and vision.
• Identify staff and develop career progression paths for succession decisions.
• Maintain facilities to approved standards in line with contract requirements.
