Warragul Leisure Centre, managed by YMCA Victoria, is seeking a casual Aqua Exercise Instructor. You will lead a variety of aqua classes, coach clients, and bring energy to motivate participants toward fitness goals.

The role emphasizes clear communication, organisation, and the ability to run sessions smoothly. Essential qualifications include Aqua Exercise Instruction, AUSTSWIM licence, CPR, First Aid, and ongoing AUSactive registration with 20 CECs every two years.

• HLTAID009 CPR certification required.
• HLTAID011 First Aid certification required.
• Current AUSactive Registration.

Responsabilités

• Lead Aqua Exercise classes for a range of clients.
• Instruct and motivate participants, demonstrating benefits of Aqua Exercise.
• Plan and manage class flow to ensure sessions run smoothly.
• Establish well-planned Deep Water and Gentle Water classes when possible.

Warragul Leisure Centre is a community-focused facility offering a wide range of recreational, fitness, and aquatic services. Managed by YMCA Victoria on behalf of the Baw Baw Shire Council, the centre caters to individuals and families of all ages and abilities. Warragul Leisure Centre boasts 3 indoor pool areas including an 8 lane 25m pool, program pool and attached splash park and warm water pool.

About the Role

As our fitness instructor, you will be responsible for leading a variety of Aqua Exercise classes and coaching a wide range of clients through your sessions. You must have exceptional communication skills to effectively inform and demonstrate the benefits of participating in our classes. You must also be organised to ensure that our classes run smoothly and efficiently. Candidates with experience in establishing well planned Deep Water and Gentle Water exercise classes will be highly regarded.

This is a casual position, with an hourly rate of $64.45 per hour + superannuation + Y benefits.

About You

You’re fun and energetic with a passion for fitness and aqua aerobics. You will possess exceptional communication skills and can effectively motivate and inspire clients to achieve their fitness goals through Aqua Exercise classes. You will have a deep understanding of various training styles and methods, and can cater to the needs of a wide range of clients during our classes and be able to develop rapport with our community.

Our ideal candidate is also highly organised, able to manage their time effectively, and can ensure the smooth running of our classes.

You will need experience in taking Aqua Exercise classes to be successful in this role.

• SISSS00127 Aqua Exercise Instruction
• AUSTSWIM Aqua Licence
• HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
• HLTAID011 Provide First Aid
• Current AUSactive Registration
• 20 Continuing Education Credits (CECs) every two years, in order to maintain your accredited Fitness Industry registration.
