Qualifications

• Experience in government financial management and public sector financial frameworks.
• Strong management accounting or finance business partnering experience.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including budgeting, costing, reporting and data analysis.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management capability.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a busy environment.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to continuous improvement of financial management processes and reporting.

About the Client

An opportunity is available within Treasury's Internal Budget Team for an experienced Management Accountant to provide financial management advice, support internal budget processes and partner with business areas to deliver high-quality financial outcomes.

About the Role
We're seeking an experienced APS6 Management Accountant to deliver management accounting and finance business partnering services in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Working closely with business areas and senior executives, you'll contribute to the internal budget process, financial reporting, forecasting and analysis while providing trusted financial advice that supports informed decision-making across the department. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys stakeholder engagement, data analysis and continuous improvement.
