Responsibilities

You’ll play a key role in driving business improvement, engaging stakeholders, and delivering high-quality solutions that support organisational goals.

  • Lead the management of requirements across multiple projects.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to provide expert advice and ensure project alignment.
  • Engaging proactively with stakeholders to understand their needs, priorities, and expectations
  • Write clear and effective materials to support business operations.
  • Designing practical resources that promote consistency and efficiency across teams.
  • Drive and support organisational change across the Division and Department.
  • Identify and implement ongoing improvements to business processes and system functionality.
  • Deliver high-quality outputs and adapt to emerging business needs.
Your Profile

Key Skills:

  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to gather, refine and document user requirements using techniques such as interviews, workshops, surveys, use cases, and workflow analysis.
  • Proven experience defining complex business needs and providing strategic insights.
  • Ability to evaluate system solutions in close collaboration with program teams to ensure alignment with departmental capabilities.
  • Experience preparing test and validation plans to support quality, risk-based outcomes.
  • Expertise in reviewing and re-engineering business processes to improve efficiency and usability.
  • Ability to work with subject matter experts to design functional, fit-for-purpose solutions.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess data relationships, service delivery processes, and emerging capability needs.
  • Confidence in recommending new capabilities that support business objectives.
  • Experience translating business objectives into clear specifications for technical teams.
  • A collaborative mindset with demonstrated leadership and contributions that delivered positive outcomes.
  • Excellent documentation and reporting skills, with a solutions-focused approach.
  • High level of discretion when handling sensitive information.
  • Outstanding communication skills.
  • Previous experience with the Department and Government policy and governance standards and requirements (desirable).

AUS citizenship and a current NV2 clearance is mandatory for this opportunity.
