Job summary

PowerData Group is looking for an experienced ICT Support Officer to support the Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research (ACIAR) with frontline ICT services. You will resolve issues, maintain assets, and contribute to projects in a Microsoft on-premises and cloud environment.

You will provide first-level support for hardware, software, network, and accounts across Australia and overseas, liaise with vendors, and help improve processes while ensuring security and compliance.

Qualifications

• Current Baseline Security Clearance (minimum) or ability to maintain one.
• Experience providing ICT support in Australian Public Service environments.
• Strong troubleshooting across hardware, software, network, and accounts.
• Experience with Microsoft on-premises and cloud environments.
• Ability to analyse issues, assess risks, and implement solutions.
• Excellent communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced setting.
• Experience supporting ICT projects, upgrades, testing, and deployments.
• Knowledge of ICT security, governance, and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-level ICT support for hardware, software, network, accounts, and devices.
• Triage, investigate, resolve, and escalate incidents per service levels.
• Administer user accounts, devices, software, and ICT asset registers.
• Support ICT projects, upgrades, testing, deployments and rollouts.
• Develop and maintain ICT procedures, knowledge articles, and guides.
• Liaise with stakeholders, vendors, and service providers to ensure delivery.
• Identify recurring issues and contribute to process improvements.
• Support cyber security initiatives including patch management and access control.
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation.
• Provide hands-on support for ICT equipment in a fully office-based environment.
