Onpoint 365 is seeking a Senior Communications Advisor in Canberra, ACT to support strategic communications, stakeholder engagement and cross-channel campaigns. You will help develop content, manage digital communications, and coordinate initiatives across a fast-paced team environment.

The role focuses on delivering high-quality communication outcomes, media engagement and insightful reporting to inform decisions. Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in communications, media, stakeholder engagement, public affairs or a related field.
• Strong content development, writing and editing skills across a variety of channels.
• Experience managing digital communications including websites and social media campaigns.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management capabilities.

Responsabilités

• Develop and manage content across digital and traditional communication channels, including websites, email communications and social media platforms.
• Support the development, implementation and evaluation of communication strategies, campaigns and promotional initiatives.
• Provide advice and support on social media content, moderation and channel management.
• Monitor media activity and assist in the coordination and management of media enquiries.
• Build and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Deliver day-to-day communication activities and provide support across a range of strategic projects and initiatives.
• Coordinate communication projects and initiatives, ensuring delivery within agreed timeframes and budgets.
• Prepare documentation and supporting materials in accordance with organisational policies and procedures.
• Contribute to business planning, continuous improvement activities and broader organisational objectives.
• Monitor communication performance and provide reporting and insights to support decision making and future activities.

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Communications Advisor to support the delivery of strategic communications and stakeholder engagement initiatives across a diverse range of channels. Working within a collaborative and fast-paced team environment, you will contribute to the development and delivery of communication strategies, digital content, stakeholder engagement activities and communication campaigns. You will play a key role in supporting organisational priorities through effective communication, media engagement, content creation and project coordination. About You

• Experience in communications, media, stakeholder engagement, public affairs or a related field.
• Strong content development, writing and editing skills across a variety of communication channels and audiences.
• Experience managing digital communications, including websites, social media platforms, campaigns and online engagement activities.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management capabilities.
• Proven project coordination and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
• Strong analytical skills and experience using reporting, performance metrics and communication insights to inform decisions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging for different audiences.
• A proactive, adaptable and solutions-focused approach to delivering communication outcomes.

Highly Desirable

• Tertiary qualifications in communications or equivalent
• Significant previous experience in a strategic communications role is highly valued
• Experience working within the Australian Public Service (APS) or a government agency.
• Experience using website CMS platforms, social media management tools, and analytics/reporting platforms.
