Job summary

MAS National in Canberra is seeking an Apprenticeship & Community Engagement Specialist to build relationships with employers, schools and community partners. You’ll be out meeting people, promoting opportunities and supporting the pathway into apprenticeships across the ACT region.

You’ll travel to career expos and community events, guide students and employers through sign-up processes, and follow up to turn conversations into outcomes.

Qualifications

• Loves talking to people and building relationships.
• Thrives in a target-driven environment.
• Enjoys getting out from behind the desk and meeting stakeholders.
• Experienced in sales, business development, education, training or community engagement.

Responsibilities

• Meeting with employers to discuss workforce needs.
• Helping future apprentices discover career pathways.
• Visiting schools and speaking with students about opportunities.
• Attending career expos, networking events and community activities.
• Building relationships with local businesses, training organisations and support services.
• Guiding apprentices and employers through the sign-up process.
• Promoting apprenticeships and traineeships across the ACT region.
• Following up opportunities and turning conversations into outcomes.
• Supporting apprentices throughout their journey to completion.
