The Role

We have an opportunity at our Carrington facility for Apprentice Vehicle Body Builders. At Varley, our Vehicle Body Builders are involved in the fabrication, assembly, and fit‑out of custom vehicle bodies, including truck builds and specialised transport projects within our Services Division.

Our apprentices are mentored by experienced trades, learn all aspects of the trade on the job, and also gain a Certificate III qualification by completing training via block release or weekly attendance at TAFE.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

• Be at least 16 years old
• Committed to completing a 4 year apprenticeship
• Able to travel regularly to TAFE
• Current Drivers licence or reliable means of transport
• Have a mechanical aptitude
• Be self‑motivated to successfully complete both work and study commitments
• Demonstrate a high quality of work and attention to detail
• Be physically capable of performing repetitive tasks – lifting, bending, twisting
• Successfully complete a pre‑placement medical including D&A testing
