Job summary

Centurion in Perth is seeking an Apprentice Trailer Mechanic to join our team. You will gain hands-on experience servicing and repairing trailers and transport equipment, while learning from experienced mechanics in a safety‑first environment.

Qualifications

• Strong interest in mechanics.
• Willingness to complete or commence an apprenticeship in Certificate III Heavy Commercial Trailer Technology (AUR31820).
• Minimum of Year 10 or equivalent completed.
• Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions.
• Commitment to safety and quality standards.
• Current C Class Driver’s Licence.
• Unrestricted Australian work rights.
• Prior automotive or mechanical experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist with servicing, inspections, and repairs on trailers and transport equipment.
• Learn how to maintain braking, suspension, axle, and air systems.
• Support trailer wiring and lighting repairs.
• Help replace and maintain parts in line with safety standards.
• Work alongside experienced mechanics to ensure trailers are safe and roadworthy.
• Build your skills in fault finding and workshop practices.

We are seeking an Apprentice Trailer Mechanic to join our team in Perth.

This is a fantastic opportunity to start your career in the heavy vehicle industry. You’ll gain hands‑on experience working with a diverse fleet of trailers and transport equipment, while learning from experienced mechanics in a supportive team environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with servicing, inspections, and repairs on trailers and transport equipment
• Learn how to maintain braking, suspension, axle, and air systems
• Support trailer wiring and lighting repairs
• Help replace and maintain parts in line with safety standards
• Work alongside experienced mechanics to ensure trailers are safe and roadworthy
