Job summary

Honeycombes Sales & Service in Townsville is inviting applications for our 2027 Apprentice Intake as an Apprentice Service Technician. You will gain hands-on training servicing leading commercial heavy vehicles, construction, industrial, and transport equipment, while working with experienced technicians.

This program offers structured mentoring, a nationally recognised apprenticeship, and career progression across branches.

Qualifications

• Completed Year 10 or above.
• Holding (or working towards) Queensland drivers licence.
• Genuine interest in mechanical technology and machinery.
• Reliable, motivated, and eager to learn.
• Able to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Demonstrate attention to detail and a positive attitude.
• Reflect our values and commitment to safety.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance, servicing and repair of machinery and equipment.
• Workshop preparation and housekeeping.

Honeycombes Sales & Service is now accepting applications for our 2027 Apprentice Intake. This is an exciting opportunity to gain a nationally recognised trade qualification while working alongside experienced technicians servicing leading commercial heavy vehicles, construction, industrial, and transport equipment.

As an Apprentice Service Technician, you'll receive hands‑on training, structured mentoring, and the opportunity to develop the skills needed to become a qualified tradesperson in a supportive and professional environment.

Working within our Service Department, you will assist qualified technicians with:

• Maintenance, servicing and repair of machinery and equipment
• Workshop preparation and housekeeping
• Equipment inspections and basic fault-finding activities
• Safe use of tools and workshop equipment
• Completing apprenticeship training and competency requirements
• Delivering quality workmanship and excellent customer service standards

About you

We're looking for individuals who:

• Have completed Year 10 or above
• Hold (or are working towards obtaining) a Queensland driver's licence
