Job summary

MRAEL, a leading Australian apprentice and employment services provider, seeks an Apprentice and Employment Consultant to manage a diverse caseload of apprentices and trainees from initial steps to successful completion. You will develop host employer relationships, mentor apprentices, and coordinate TAFE bookings from their base in Welshpool.

Ideal candidates bring sales and business development experience, strong communication skills, and a good understanding of the VET sector.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to drive sales and grow the caseload of apprentices and partner organisations.
• Strong relationship building with Apprentices, Host Employers and RTOs.
• Good understanding of the VET sector and employment needs.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work autonomously with initiative and attention to detail.
• Experience navigating stakeholder discussions and providing constructive feedback.
• Desirable plumbing background, not essential.

Responsibilities

• Drive business development and sales to grow your caseload of apprentices and partner organisations.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with Australian Apprentices, Host Employers, RTOs and other partners.
• Mentor and support apprentices, conducting site visits and performance management.
• Provide candid and actionable guidance to host employers.
• Schedule TAFE bookings and oversee on‑the‑job training with ongoing support.
