Job summary

O'Rourke Construction in the Illawarra region is seeking a motivated Apprentice Carpenter to join our growing team. This role offers hands-on experience across residential, commercial, and remedial projects from earthworks to handover.

Ideal candidates are 1st or 2nd year apprentices with a strong work ethic, reliable transport, a White Card, and a genuine interest in carpentry. You will learn from experienced tradespeople in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Must be reliable with good attendance.
• Genuine interest in carpentry and completing an apprenticeship.
• Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced tradespeople.

Responsibilities

• Assist with framing, lock-up, and fix carpentry tasks.
• Read and interpret architectural plans and blueprints.
• Safely operate hand and power tools.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised worksite.
• Develop problem-solving skills while learning from experienced tradespeople.
